Miles Between Us
Short form documentary about long-distance relationships // Huntington University // 2017
In 2017, during their junior year of college, four friends took to the road across Indiana and Ohio to learn about different perspectives amongst 20-somethings on the topic of long-distance relationships.
This generation is the most connected in terms of speed and availability via phones, the Internet, and even accessibility to cars and other modes of transportation. Long-distance relationships are becoming more frequent because of the willingness to attempt to maintain a healthy relationship despite physical distances.
We explore the joys and pains that come with being in a long-distance relationship, from how they can begin, to the messy middles, the occasional fallouts, and the couples' eventual longings of shortening the miles between them.
